Where Will My Donation Go?
United Fund provides funding for programs and services through Youth Services, Family Services, and Specialized Services agencies that serve Henry County citizens.
Mentoring, education and recreation provide positive interaction and productive outlets for at-risk youths. Your United Fund donation gives you the most effective means for taking important steps to ensure a future that is beter thean the past, by providing funds for youth services programs. Caring and committed role models, healthy activities and traditional skill-building programs increase children’s opportunities to break out of detrimental family cycles and look toward a hope-filled future. Agencies providing these services are:
Big Brothers/Big Sisters
Boy Scouts of America
Henry County YMCA ICAP
Family services agencies serve at-risk groups and provide essentials — fresh food, safe shelter, diapers, daycare, emergency services. Immediate relief for these basic needs gives families the opportunity to tackle bigger issues. For our most disadvantaged citizens, the agencies supporting these efforts don’t ignore the obvious problems; they tackle them head-on. We fund programs of the following agencies:
Christian Love Shelter
Henry County Pregnancy Care Center
Second Harvest Food Bank
Westminster Community Center
Where some see obstacles, specialized service agencies see opportunities. Nutrition, medicine, safety from harm and a full life should be available to all. By keeping your donations inside our local community, we help these agencies to turn difficult situations around — for those around us:
